The CC-1000 reads closed-caption data off of line 21 and displays it on a 4 line by 32 character LED display. In this way, the video image is kept clear of captioning, while allowing equal access to all members of the viewing audience. The CC-1000 may be found in National and State parks, museums, colleges, theme parks and commercial establishments across the United States, from Alaska to Florida and Massachusetts to Southern California.

The standard CC-1000 is approximately 22 inches wide, and 5 inches tall. It consists of 4 lines, each of 32 characters, 7/10 inch high, thus supporting the standard CC format. This model is suitable for viewing up to about 30 feet away.  Special models, employing larger characters, are available for theater applications.
