The audio from a live event or teleconference is displayed as a text stream (captions) by CPC’s real-time captioner, and displayed on a web site using a streaming media player such as RealPlayer and Windows Media Player.

The text is displayed in its own window; and the text size and font can be controlled by the viewer of the webcast.

The client can use their own web server to host the live video with captions. If client does not have any web hosting capability, CPC can host the live webcast on CPC’s site too at additional cost.

* If the event contains a significant amount of technical terms, there is a surcharge of up to 10%.

An example of captioning a live webcast & hosting it on client’s web server:
Captioning a 1 hour video will cost $100 (setup fee) + $35x4 = $240

An example of captioning a live webcast & hosting it on CPC’s web server:
100 people watching a 15 minute video streaming at a rate of 150 kilo bits/sec (DSL/Cable), the total cost is $135 (captioning fee) + 100x15x$0.10 (streaming fee) = $285.

Video-on-demand: After a live webcast, the video with captions can be uploaded to the web as a video-on-demand webcast for everyone to watch 24/7 for no additional cost.
